Street Art, Jaklyn Babington, Mini Graff and Jason Wing — 2 April 2011

Saturday 2 April 2011

About: Jaklyn Babington is the author of Space Invaders: Australian Street Art (NGA, 2010) and assistant curator of international art at the National Gallery of Australia. Like the book, Babington’s Space Invaders exhibition engages the past decade, a time of radically differing aesthetic offshoots of independent street art, from stencils and free-style works to paste-ups, stickers and zines. Mini Graff and Jason Wing are two of Sydney’s well-known street artists who uniquely juxtapose socio-political observations with their chosen sites. Mini Graff participated in Space Invaders and Jason Wing has held solo shows at Gallery 4A and Blacktown City Gallery.
In association with the exhibition Real Estate: Mini Graff and Jason Wing.
